Hi I am “Dr. B” (Boyd Newsome, DMD) and I would like to thank you for your interest in our dental practice. Riverpoint Family, Cosmetic, & Implant Dentistry is here to take care of you and your family and provide the best and most comfortable dental treatment possible.

I am pleased to let you know that I love being a dentist because I love taking care of my patients whether it is relieving a toothache in a matter of minutes or enhancing their smile over a lifetime, I take great satisfaction in being able to use my knowledge & skill set to help another person receive the dental care they need or to help them create the smile they have always dreamed of having.

I have been a dentist for several years now and have enhanced my dental education and skill set by taking over 50 times the amount of post-graduate dental educational courses required by the NM Board of Dentistry to renew a dental license every year. Consequently, I have advanced training in various surgeries including extracting wisdom teeth, placing dental implants to replace missing teeth, doing root canals to fix hurting teeth, and providing simple or complex cosmetic dentistry. I also provide sedation dentistry ranging from light to moderate sedation to help patients feel comfortable during the dental procedures.

On a more personal note, I am married to a wonderful lady and have 4 children who are my “everything in life.” Some of my hobbies include camping, hiking, fishing, playing sports, working in the yard, watching movies, and sleeping in at least once a month if at all possible.
